Aesthetically pleasing pressed aluminium plates offered in white & yellow for modern cars and black & silver for vintage cars. Samar't pressed plates use a hot foil stamp to transfer a coloured ribbon onto the freshly pressed plate, providing a deep and rich black for standard plates or a polished silver appearance for vintage plates.
Since April 2015 vehicles manufactured before 1 January 1975 can display the older style plates. You must:
have applied to DVLA, and
be registered within the ‘historic vehicles’ tax class.
